Account

Store notes as .md in your cloud.

Set a new password for email sign-in. Only applies if you use email to log in.

Secure your account with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.).

Permanently delete your account and all your data. This cannot be undone.

Choose the assistant identity shown in chat and note view.

Set custom guidance for how your assistant should respond and collaborate.

When enabled, notner generates a short welcome text on app start. If unavailable, it falls back to the default welcome.

Optional style guidance for the welcome message.

When opening old chats from history: show the assistant's thought process (e.g. "Thought for 9s"). The current chat always keeps reasoning until you leave it; this setting only affects past chats.

Capture mode stores your messages silently until you indicate you are finished, then drafts a structured note.

If enabled, note/folder/notebook routines can save immediately. Off by default for safety.

Number of revisions to keep per note (0 = no version history). Default: 3.

Permanently delete trashed items after this many days (0 = never).

Choose a notner profile or create your own. Add your API keys in Providers. You bring your own keys – notner never charges.

    Note storage

    Store notes as plain .md files in your cloud. The database keeps only an index and search; your files stay in your account.

      Used as fallback assistant identity when a user has not set their own assistant name.

      Primary system prompt template. Supports placeholders: {assistantName} and {state}.

      Additional system-level guidance appended to every chat.

      Default welcome guidance used when user-specific welcome guidance is empty.

      Global debug visibility. Use all for development and off before deployment.

      User management is permission-gated. Super admins can assign roles; basic admins can only use allowed actions.
